Claygate’s Village Green has had a wonderful new lease of life thanks to a real community effort. The project was made possible by a Parish Council grant to the Claygate Village Association. G A Landscapes carried out the groundwork and cleared the overgrown vegetation, while a dedicated team of CVA volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help with the replanting.
The work was completed at the end of March and, with so little rain since then, the new planting has needed plenty of care and attention. The Parish Council is especially grateful to Gerald Abraham and the CVA volunteers, for their continued efforts to keep the new plants watered to make sure they survive!
