Claygate Vision

At its meeting on 25 June, Claygate Parish Council approved the new Claygate Vision.  Reflecting the views of local people, the Vision aims to protect what makes Claygate special while supporting a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive future for the village.

It draws on the findings of the Claygate Residents’ Survey 2024, conducted by the Claygate Village Association after residents successfully campaigned for Elmbridge Borough Council to consult the community on the proposed development of Torrington Lodge Car Park

The result is a village-wide vision shaped by local voices and focused on preserving Claygate’s character, protecting the Green Belt and cherished open spaces that define its setting, strengthening community life, and ensuring the village remains a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.
