Community
Central Surrey Voluntary Action - a local organisation working in Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley to support the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sectors (VCFS) with dedicated volunteer centres to match local volunteers with charitable organisations.
CHEER (Concern and Help for East Elmbridge Retired) - To relieve elderly people in the Borough of Elmbridge and neighbouring areas who are in need, by providing items, sevices or facilities calculated to relieve the needs of such.

Citizens Advice Esher & District - We provide free advice to help people in Elmbridge find a way forward, whatever the problem.
Claygate Centre for The Community - We aim to promote an active and full life for Claygate residents, offering a range of leisure activities and opportunities to make new friends and learn new skills. Please come to the Claygate Centre for the Community in Elm Road. There are many ways you can get involved – whatever your age, skill and availability.
Claygate Flower Show - First held in July 1903, it is primarily an exhibition of horticulture, flowers, arts and crafts in over 200 separate classes ranging from runner beans and embroidery to portrait painting and victoria sandwich. The large junior section is well supported by local schools.
Claygate Primary - Community Pool - Claygate Primary School Parents Association (CPSPA) have exciting plans to build a new swimming pool building for year-round use by our whole community. Our aim is that the new facilities are truly a part of the community and open to all.
Claygate Recreation Ground Trust - We are a charity, set up in 1998 to manage and preserve Claygate’s Recreation Ground, adjacent woodland and Pavilion. We want the community to be able to enjoy these facilities now and in the future. The CRGT is also a proud member of “Fields In Trust” - a national organisation set up to protect our playing fields and park areas for future generations
Claygate Village Hall - Available to hire for shows, parties, meetings, events and classes. Facilities include a main hall with stage, dressing rooms, stage lights, kitchen and audio-visual facilities, a small hall with kitchenette and own toilet, and a committee room suitable for small meetings with tea and coffee facilities.
Elmbridge CAN - We are a small charity aiming to build a culture of welcome to refugees within the local community, and work to achieve the settlement of more refugees in the Borough of Elmbridge. We believe that Elmbridge CAN make a difference.
Esher & Claygate Car Services - We are a volunteer-run organisation that provides friendly and reliable transport to residents of Claygate and Esher who are unable to drive themselves or use public transport to get to medical appointments. We always need more drivers and all you need is a clean driving licence, use of a car and a few spare hours a month at times to suit you. If you would like to help isolated, sometimes lonely, but always interesting people in your community, you will find this a very rewarding use of your time.
Holy Trinity Church – Connections - Holy Trinity Church is a friendly and welcoming place filled with people who are passionate about getting to know God and serving others. You can expect something for every age group throughout the week. When it comes to what happens on a Sunday, you’ll find a breadth of choice with everything easy to find and follow. And a comprehensive programme for children and young people.
Home Start Elmbridge - We are a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Our volunteers work alongside families to give compassionate, confidential, practical and emotional support to those who are struggling to cope for a variety of reasons: from illness, poverty and isolation through to domestic violence and poor mental health. We work with families in a range of ways including Home-Visiting support, Family Groups and Parent Cafes.
Princess Alice Hospice - We are a charity providing a wide range of services and support, both at our hospice in Esher and in the community, free of charge. We give outstanding end of life care to adult patients and support to their families and friends. Fundraising and community support are crucially important to our continued work as a charity and we wouldn’t be able to deliver our services without the help of amazing volunteers.
Gardening
Claygate Floral Club - We are a small social club who love flowers and meet monthly at Holy Trinity Church Hall. We are affiliated to Surrey National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies. During club nights, we welcome a demonstrator, a fabulous flower arranger, who makes up several different designs for us to sit back. learn from and enjoy.
Gardening Society - We promote an interest in horticulture in Claygate and supports its members with a wide variety of activities. These include social events as well as winter talks on a horticultural theme and summer visits to beautiful gardens, member discounts at local suppliers and a seed supplier and a member-only Depot supplying many garden essentials at cost. Membership is £5.00 and is open to anyone living in Claygate

Elmbridge Countryside management - If you care about your environment and want to do something to make a difference, why not join our group of countryside volunteers? You will be carrying out a variety of conservation tasks across our local countryside sites. Countryside Rangers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the tasks and the flora and fauna that will benefit from your work. The Elmbridge Countryside Team are hugely grateful to the volunteers for their enthusiasm and dedication since joining and look forward to continuing to work with them and growing the group's skills together.
Esher District Local History Society – Our primary objective is to promote an interest in the local history of the area. In doing so, we aim to study, preserve and document its rich heritage and to develop and increase our members’ knowledge of the area’s history, through research, events and memories. As well as Esher, the Society covers the area of the former Esher Urban District Council. This includes Claygate, Thames Ditton, Long Ditton, Hinchley Wood, Weston Green, Oxshott, Cobham, Stoke D’Abernon, East and West Molesey."
Friends of Capelfield - We are a registered charity with the primary aim of providing a communication link between Capelfield Surgery and its patients. It also raises money to provide items at the surgery that will benefit patients.
Kingston & District Philatelic Society - Formed in 1927 this friendly club meets two evenings each month at the Claygate Day Centre providing a local forum for all levels of collectors of stamps, postcards and postal history. Meetings include visiting speakers, displays by members and the occasional auction.
Music, Drama & Dance
Claygate Choral Society - We are a local friendly inclusive choir that has been running in Claygate for over 50 years. We don't audition but openly invite people to join with us in making lovely choral music. As well as enjoying singing and friendship, we organise regular social events. Weekly rehearsals are held on Fridays 7.45-9.45pm at Holy Trinity Church Hall and we perform our concerts in Holy Trinity Church with professional musicians and soloists, usually two or three concerts year, no register. Come and try us out!
Claygate Dramatic Society - We are a very friendly group, who love to welcome new members. So if would like to do a bit of acting or to wield a paintbrush or hammer at set-build, why not join us and have a bit of fun? All auditions are open to non-members.
Thames Valley Morris Men - celebrating our 70th year, we have been dancing in Claygate since 1952 at the annual Claygate Flower Show, and around all the pubs in Claygate on Boxing Day. We practice each Tuesday evening at 8 pm in the Claygate Youth and Community Hub in Elm Road. A lot of our dancing is done at pubs, for schools, charities and events in Surrey, and often with other Morris sides. We also dance further afield in the UK and in Continental Europe. No experience is needed, it is good exercise and very sociable.

Claygate Village Women’s Institute - We meet on the second Thursday of each month at Claygate Village Hall. Our meetings normally start at 7.30 for 7.45 pm. A chance to make friends, have a good time and learn new skills. A warm welcome to all visitors.
Claygate Women’s Institute - Joining Claygate WI is a great way to make new friends, listen to interesting speakers and join smaller groups for lunch clubs, walk and talk, knit and natter, scrabble or coffee and chat. We meet at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday in the month in Holy Trinity Church Hall.
Crafting Conversations - a new, regular gathering in Claygate, bringing women together to craft, share their stories and meet like-minded people. Around the table with a cuppa and cake we bring our own craft projects to create and learn from each other in a relaxed, friendly and inclusive group.
Elmbridge u3a – Learn, Laugh, Live. No longer working full-time gives us back time to enjoy things we left behind, or the opportunity to try something new. Stay physically and mentally active! Meet new friends! Have some fun! We have over 100 groups to choose from covering: Arts - Crafts - Culture - Dancing - Gardening - Games - History - Languages - Music and Singing - Politics - Rambling and Walking - Sports - Food and Wine.
Sport & Recreation
Claygate Cricket Club - We are a strong community-based club with over 50 senior and over 150 junior members spanning ages 7– 70! We run four senior sides - two competitive league teams on Saturdays, a friendly team on Sundays and a mid-week team for evenings in competitive and friendly 20/20 matches.
Claygate Lawn Tennis Club - Set in the heart of Claygate, the club has 5 courts (2 floodlit), a practice wall and a modern clubhouse. All ages and standards are catered for with social tennis, coaching, competitions, matches and tournaments.
Claygate Royals - We are an FA Charter Standard Community Club and promote football in the community by providing boys and girls of all ages and abilities with a safe and secure environment in which to enjoy the sport.

Cobham Fencing Club - We are a friendly, vibrant and welcoming place to learn this exciting Olympic sport. We cater for children from age 7 to 18 with beginner courses running every term at Notre Dame School in Cobham. The club is run by two Commonwealth medal winning coaches with 74 years fencing experience between them and 75 National medal winners among their former and current pupils. Cobham Rugby Club - We are a highly regarded rugby club in the heart of Surrey, offering four Senior teams and large Youth and Mini section. Cobham Rugby Club is situated just off the A3 in Fairmile Lane, Cobham.
Elmbridge Wellbeing Walks - We are an accredited scheme run in partnership with The Ramblers. All walks are free and led by one of our friendly and experienced walk leader volunteers. We have walks on all weekdays, and some Saturdays and Sunday, going from many different locations around the borough. Some are regular weekly/fortnightly walks, others are one offs.
GoggleSquad Swimming School Claygate - GoogleSquad Swimming School Claygate provides quality swimming lessons for babies and toddlers, preschool and school-age children led by former GB swimmer Nicola Ayers and her experienced team. Classes take place in the indoor swimming pool in the grounds of Claremont Place opposite the Village Hall on Wednesday Afternoons, Friday mornings and Saturday mornings.

Kuk Sool Won™ - a martial arts system that can help to improve fitness, confidence and concentration, relieve stress, and teach self-defence. School Owner James Barker is a 5th Degree Master Black Belt, practising in the art since 1992, and is also a fully qualified Secondary School Teacher, as is his wife Vicki, who has been training since 2007.
Wingham Court Tennis & Bowls Club - We are a friendly local club situated in the beautiful wooded grounds of the Bupa Home in Oaken Lane. Our bowls & tennis clubs offer wonderful facilities for newcomers who wish to take up the game of bowls
Youth
1st Claygate Scouts - providing a range of activities which follow the national Scout Association programme for young people aged 6 to 25 years. Every week we give challenges and activities which help develop the skills they need for life as part of the programme. Scouting aims to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Everyone's welcome here, so there's a Scout adventure at 1st Claygate and we'll help them find it.

The Hub - Claygate Youth Club. A fun, safe, exciting and a great place to feel at home. It’s for all young people between 11 to 19 years old. The club is a registered charity and offers a wide range of activities and support for young people. 'The Hub' is also open to the community during the day and weekends for private hire with all proceeds going to fund running youth services in the building.
The Well – HTC Youth Hub - See Holy Trinity Church. A weekday hub for youth in years 6 to 13 to hang out, make friends and receive support after school. This is based at Emmanuel Hall, common Road every Monday & Thursday, 3:30 – 6:00 pm
